Recreation Bette Winner Public Library
The Bette Winner Public Library is located in the heart of the Gillam Recreation Centre and is open to all residents of the community and visitors alike. The objective of the Bette Winner Public Library is to select, organize and to have available a variety of material which will aid in the pursuit of education, information, research, recreation and in creative use of leisure time. The goal of the library is the maximum use of its collection by the greatest number of people.

The library has available to borrow: current books, magazines,  and the latest videos and DVDs. Through the inter-library loan program, the library staff can request from other libraries books or publications that our library does not have in stock. There are also 5 public access computers for patrons to access the internet, this service is available free of charge during regular hours of operation. They are also certified to invigilate exams.

The library provides various services to the community for a small fee. These services include: T.V./DVD rentals, photocopying, faxing and special book orders.  The Bette Winner Public Library Board of Directors and Staff host various Special Events throughout the year. The Christmas Craft Sale is always a much anticipated event by one and all. Story time for children of pre-school age is another program, which introduces the children to the library and a small craft. 

Membership is available free of charge to all residents of Gillam and Fox Lake. A non-resident may join at a cost of $25.00 (A refundable amount of $15.00 will be given upon the return of all borrowed items.) Children must have parental consent to obtain a membership.

25 cents per book per day
10 cents per magazine per day
$1.00 per video per day

10 cents per day per item (books, audio books, magazines)
